Key Responsibilities

  • •Install building automation systems, including conduit, enclosures, wiring, and end devices, using control drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • •Coordinate on-site installation by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and working with other trades as needed.
  • •Maintain inventory, company equipment, vehicles, tools, and documentation for each job.
  • •Serve as direct customer contact by servicing products/equipment at customer locations, ensuring satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems.
  • •Complete and submit required paperwork and reports (daily time, progress, and duration) and continually enforce safety standards.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent, with typically 2-5 years of experience in HVAC/controls (technical school or formal training preferred).
  • •Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and working proficiency with a handheld computer (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
  • •Knowledge of low voltage electricity, electronics troubleshooting, direct digital controls, and building control techniques.
  • •Current or future participation in an ABC electrical apprenticeship program is desired.
  • •Valid driver’s license with no major or frequent traffic violations in the previous 3 years (including restrictions such as DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving).
