Key Responsibilities

  • •Own harness architecture and design from concept/schematic capture through drawing packages and production release.
  • •Perform electrical analysis for reliable harnesses, including wire sizing, voltage-drop budgets, protection and fuse coordination, derating, and connector/component selection.
  • •Develop and maintain harness documentation (schematics, harness drawings, wire lists, splice diagrams, and connector face views) using the Zuken E3 suite.
  • •Drive design-to-manufacturing using Zuken E3.HarnessBuilder and automation from design intent to manufacturing outputs.
  • •Lead root-cause analysis and implement design improvements to enhance reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in electrical/mechatronics or related engineering (or equivalent hands-on harness design experience).
  • •7+ years of harness design experience, including 2–3 years owning harness architecture at the system level.
  • •Proficiency in Zuken E3, including E3.cable, E3.smallcable, and E3.HarnessBuilder for schematic capture and harness engineering.
  • •Strong electrical fundamentals: wire/cable selection (ampacity, insulation, shielding, bundling), voltage-drop budgets, protection coordination, derating, and connector/terminal selection.
  • •Standards fluency in IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Class 3) and NASA harness workmanship/connector selection and qualification practices.
