Job Summary

Work on mechanical systems for infrastructure and building projects in the public and private sectors, supporting due diligence through design, installation, testing, and inspections. You’ll develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates; model and design for temperature control, air distribution, hydronic and plumbing systems; ensure compliance with codes and permits; maintain QA/QC; and prepare technical reports and presentations while guiding entry-level engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Collect, compile, and analyze site and design data from surveys, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project development.
•Perform mechanical engineering work including research and inspections to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and permits.
•Develop construction and installation plans, specifications, and cost estimates; coordinate safety and phasing plans with stakeholders.
•Design and integrate mechanical systems and advanced modeling concepts for automatic temperature control, air distribution, hydronics, and plumbing systems.
•Prepare reports, visualizations, and presentations; maintain QA/QC and provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
•5 to 7 years of relevant post-education engineering experience with prior mechanical design experience.
•Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
•Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles and design/build processes applied to project work.
•Experience with building and infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design projects.
