Job Summary

Investment Banking Associate to support and lead execution of transactions across multiple industries and product areas in Toronto. Lead deal teams, mentor Analysts, manage day-to-day execution, coordinate due diligence, prepare client materials, and help drive business development within Jefferies’ Toronto investment banking platform.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead key aspects of M&A, advisory, and capital markets transactions, including process management, financial analysis, and client deliverables.
•Oversee analysts in building financial models, valuation analyses, and supporting materials; provide guidance and quality control on outputs.
•Prepare and present client materials, such as pitchbooks, strategic reviews, and transaction updates.
•Manage the drafting and review of offering memoranda, CIMs, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses.
•Coordinate due diligence processes, including Q&A, data room management, expert sessions, and diligence calls.
•Act as a primary point of contact for clients on day-to-day matters, helping cultivate and maintain senior-level relationships.
•Drive internal processes, including deal memoranda, committee materials, and cross-functional coordination across Jefferies’ global platform.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 210 - 270

Key Requirements

•2–4+ years of investment banking experience, including prior Analyst experience; direct Associate‑level experience is preferred.
•Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior management teams.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple live deals and projects simultaneously.
•Highly resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and within deal teams.
