Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, design, and deliver geotechnical and rock mechanics services for tunnels, caverns, shafts, underground structures, and related infrastructure.
  • •Characterise rock mass by interpreting geological, geotechnical, laboratory, borehole, and field investigation data.
  • •Apply rock mass classification systems (Q-System, RMR, GSI) and associated empirical design methods.
  • •Develop geological and geotechnical ground models, including 3D models using Leapfrog Geo.
  • •Perform geotechnical assessments and stability analyses, including ground support design and numerical modelling of excavation behaviour.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or geotechnical engineering/engineering geology (masters preferred).
  • •Minimum 8 years of professional experience in rock mechanics, geotechnical engineering, or tunnel engineering.
  • •Experience with geotechnical investigations and rock mass characterisation.
  • •Proficiency in numerical modelling software including FLAC2D/3D, DIPS, 3DEC, PLAXIS 2D/3D, and Rocscience Suite.
  • •Strong technical report writing and communication skills, and ability to work in multidisciplinary international teams.
