Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead & Deliver: Manage design packages for major road, greenway, and urban transport schemes from concept to construction.
  • •Coordinate: Oversee multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians, ensuring seamless collaboration across drainage, structures, and environmental disciplines.
  • •Innovate: Apply the latest standards including DMURS, Cycle Design Manual, and TII Publications to create safe, people-focused transport solutions.
  • •Engage: Work directly with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, guiding them through technical challenges and statutory approval processes (Part 8 / ABP / SID / EIA).
  • •Mentor: Support and coach junior engineers, contributing to AECOM’s culture of growth and continuous learning.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • •Significant experience in road, urban, or Active Travel infrastructure design.

  • •Experience with statutory planning and design approvals in Ireland.
