Job Summary

Finance Officer responsible for partnering with Brazil’s executive leadership and Jefferies’ Global Controller and Treasurer teams to manage local finance, regulatory reporting, tax and treasury functions. Prepares monthly/annual statements per Receita Federal, Central Bank of Brazil, and CVM rules; conducts detailed financial reviews; coordinates regulatory submissions and audits; supports tax provisions and cross-group accounting standards to ensure timely, accurate disclosures.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the finance business partner to support Brazil Executive team and Jefferies Global Controller & Treasurer teams to manage local finance, regulatory reporting, tax and treasury functions.
•Support the accounting and financial reporting requirements related to the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Receita Federal, the Central Bank of Brazil (including CADOCs) and CVM rules.
•Perform detailed financial statement reviews, tie-outs to supporting work papers, and provide value-added comments for variance against budget.
•Use and manage regulatory reporting systems (such as Matera, Sisbacen, BC Correio and Siscon) to submit financial and regulatory information to the Central Bank of Brazil.
•Support local audit processes with internal/external auditors and regulators.
•Support internal and external audit processes including preparation of working papers, schedules, analysis and other required documentation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields
•Qualified CRC Accountant Contador or Contador Público
•5+ years of accounting/finance experience in broker-dealer, banking, auditing and capital markets/financial services
•Bilingual proficiency in English and Portuguese
•Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to communicate at senior management level across business units
