Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle safely and in compliance with state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads on required routes in a timely manner while following traffic and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, follow loading crew signals, and assist with loading and unloading.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver documentation when routes are complete.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., check oil/water/gas/air) and report malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) (or chauffeur’s license depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle’s weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills and speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and remain focused in a busy environment.
