Job Summary

Develop and modernize geospatial data capabilities for a military customer by enhancing legacy CAD/GIS datasets and creating an updated geospatial data catalogue. Build and deploy GIS data through web services and standardized formats within the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem, define data schemas and SOPs, publish geospatial content to the web, and streamline workflows. Train stakeholders on GIS tools and make recommendations for future architectural improvements while working onsite at MacDill AFB.

•Integrate into a modernization team to deliver enhancements using Python, JavaScript, and Arcade within the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem.
•Modernize legacy CAD and GIS datasets to build an updated catalogue of geospatial data holdings while preserving attribution.
•Deploy GIS data to authorized users through web services and standardized formats with supporting datasets.
•Create SOPs and data schemas for georeferencing and spatial feature integration, and publish geospatial content to the web.
•Train stakeholders on GIS tools and processes and provide recommendations for future technology investments and architectural improvements.

•3+ years of programming experience using relevant tools and libraries (e.g., Python, Jupyter Notebooks, geoprocessing tools).
