Job Summary

Lead Business Banking Relationship Managers across Connecticut, Maine, and Vermont to acquire new business clients and expand share of wallet for existing portfolios. You will coach the team on the bank’s value proposition and sales processes, support training and product knowledge development, and participate in joint calls to uncover growth opportunities. Manage performance, partner with HR on talent processes, and help drive a risk-managed, profitable commercial lending portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee Business Banking function in an assigned region by leading outside-facing Business Banking Relationship Managers, and lead Team Lead(s) where applicable.
•Ensure delivery of the business banking value proposition by aligning daily work with Key Sales Process and Consultative Sales Process framework.
•Coach team on segment value proposition and client experiences, directing sales efforts through prospecting, centers of influence, and lead follow-up.
•Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services and provide in-person and remote training and development for the assigned team.
•Track team performance objectives, manage and evaluate staff performance, and partner with HR on recruiting and talent processes.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 116,000 - 216,000 annually

Key Requirements

•A minimum of 5 years of commercial lending experience.
•A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, preferably managing commercial lenders.
•7+ years of sales and business development experience in financial services, including client research, sales planning, and closing.
•Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (or equivalent experience preferred).
•Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing business banking teams.
