Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the primary field representative and main point of contact for the Owner.
  • •Lead daily construction administration for transportation, bridge, roadway, utility, and civil infrastructure projects, including schedule monitoring and contractor performance for safety, compliance, and quality.
  • •Review plans/specifications/contract documents, assess RFIs, submittals, and change requests, and evaluate progress payments, change orders, claims, and contract modifications.
  • •Supervise inspectors and other project staff; ensure construction progress meetings and stakeholder communication are coordinated.
  • •Ensure project documentation is complete and audit-ready, oversee materials documentation/testing/QA requirements, and support compliance with applicable federal/state/local funding requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent).
  • •10+ years of construction management, construction engineering, inspection, or public works construction experience.
  • •Experience serving as a Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, Assistant Resident Engineer, Project Engineer, or equivalent role.
  • •Demonstrated experience administering public works construction contracts and knowledge of construction documentation, change management, claims avoidance, and project controls.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to interpret contract documents and plans/specifications, and a valid driver’s license with ability to travel to project sites.
