Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare actuarial inputs for Singapore branch reporting, internal management reporting, and semi-annual local IFRS 17 reporting in line with local regulations and internal guidelines.
  • •Support global IFRS 17 closing, reporting and planning, including assigned areas such as VNB reporting.
  • •Execute quarterly reserving and perform actuarial analyses for assigned business areas, including assumption setting, experience studies, and portfolio analytics.
  • •Maintain and enhance cashflow models (updates, output review, version management, documentation) and implement agreed enhancements to local actuarial tools and processes.
  • •Support Certifying Actuary workstream as needed, provide IFRS 17 technical input, and assist external audit with analyses, methodology/assumptions documentation, and auditor responses.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • •Fellow, Associate or nearly qualified member of a recognised actuarial professional body (e.g., FIA, FSA, FIAA, DAV).
  • •Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience in life insurance or reinsurance (or consulting), ideally within a multinational organisation.
  • •Advanced knowledge and experience of IFRS 17 principles, methodologies and requirements.
  • •Advanced Excel/VBA skills; programming languages (Python, R, SQL) or SAS experience is advantageous.
