Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Software Engineering
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and maintain the BSP layer, device trees, and reference images across kernel upgrades and silicon revisions.
  • •Own the boot chain, including bootloader porting, signed boot, verified rootfs, and A/B system updates.
  • •Develop and validate Linux device drivers for peripherals and interfaces, including camera and sensor interfaces.
  • •Lead board bring-up and hardware validation, from first power-up through booting Linux images, and debug hardware/software boundary issues.
  • •Define verification test plans and acceptance criteria, automate boot/peripheral testing on real targets, document milestones, and collaborate with hardware and platform teams.

Key Requirements

  • •MSc in engineering (electrical, computer, or related); PhD is a plus, but hands-on bring-up experience matters most.
  • •At least 5 years of embedded software experience, including BSPs owned through their lifecycle and kept reproducible as hardware evolves.
  • •Strong embedded Linux build system experience (Yocto/OpenEmbedded), including custom layers, BSP integration, image builds, and SDK generation.
  • •Kernel-space driver development on ARM targets with validation across I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, PCIe, and MIPI, plus device tree work for new boards and revisions.
  • •Strong C/C++ (kernel-space coding) and Python scripting skills, with solid Git version control and debugging using GDB/JTAG/OpenOCD and kernel tracing.
