Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee the full lifecycle of electrical construction projects, delivering high-voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, BESS, data-center power distribution, UPS, generators, and low-voltage systems on time and under budget.
  • •Manage multi-discipline electrical construction projects in the field and office as overall construction project manager, including scheduling, cost control, and commissioning coordination.
  • •Coordinate with electrical contractors, fabricators, OEMs (switchgear, transformers, BESS, UPS), utilities, and internal customers; resolve design and construction conflicts in real time.
  • •Provide budgetary costs from preliminary electrical scope, gather proposals from engineers/contractors/vendors, and assign contracts.
  • •Facilitate city/county/utility/government approvals (interconnection, permitting, environmental), coordinate implementation through energization and turnover, and support power capacity planning/load growth across the Memphis campus.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/power systems engineering or a related field, with strong electrical experience (civil/mechanical/construction management also considered).
  • •5+ years of professional experience in electrical construction, power systems engineering, substations, data-center electrical infrastructure, BESS, or facilities electrical management.
  • •Preferred: 7+ years of experience in high-voltage substations, medium-voltage distribution, data-center electrical systems, or BESS construction/project management.
  • •Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license (electrical).
  • •Experience reading/reviewing and approving electrical shop drawings, one-lines, protection schemes, fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
