Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce and check engineering deliverables (reports, presentations, design calculations, and drawings) for tunnelling and below-ground construction.
  • •Work with tunnelling and geotechnical engineers across projects from feasibility through construction (including micro-tunnels and trenchless solutions).
  • •Effectively manage and deliver project work.
  • •Contribute to team resource management and allocation, and assist with mentoring and development of staff.
  • •Support project delivery including client liaison, contractors and sub-consultants, public/statutory body consultation, and quality control.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • •Technical expertise in civil/structural and geotechnical engineering with understanding of tunnelling principles.
  • •Experience delivering tunnelling and/or underground projects with multi-disciplinary design input and high-quality deliverables.
  • •Chartered or near chartered status (or equivalent registration) with a relevant professional institution.
  • •Experience with Eurocodes and other design standards.
