Job Summary

Maintain and repair a range of Pump, Power, and HVAC equipment at a rental facility, diagnosing issues using real-time data and using laptops/tablets to manage work orders. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC systems, and compressors, including troubleshooting failures at both the shop and customer sites. Support equipment setup/operation, assist training, and keep daily documentation up to date.

Key Responsibilities

•Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment.
•Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders; track service intervals; order parts; and diagnose root causes and corrective actions.
•Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
•Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and at customer locations, and handle repairs.
•Maintain complete and timely paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment/parts as needed.

Key Requirements

•Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
•Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
•Experience calculating nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and reading schematics.
•Superior customer service skills, teamwork, and verbal/written communication abilities.
•EPA 608 certification is preferred (or ability to obtain within 6-12 months of employment).
