Job Summary

Provide technical leadership for designing, implementing, verifying, and debugging FPGA-based solutions in security-focused systems. Own FPGA architecture and translate requirements into structured development plans, estimates, and delivery execution across FPGA workstreams. Drive integration with embedded and host software systems, resolve complex issues like timing closure and resource optimization, and define/improve FPGA development processes including CI/CD and verification practices while mentoring engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design, implementation, verification, and debug of VHDL-based FPGA solutions for new and existing products.
•Own FPGA architectural design, including partitioning, interfaces, and performance trade-offs within system constraints.
•Drive integration of FPGA components with embedded and host software systems, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
•Define and structure FPGA development work by translating requirements into deliverable tasks and clear technical plans, including estimates and risk identification.
•Mentor and develop engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing, while evolving FPGA development processes and resolving complex technical challenges.

Key Requirements

•Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related discipline.
•Demonstrated experience delivering complex FPGA-based systems using VHDL RTL design, synthesis, place & route, and timing closure.
•Verification experience including simulation, testbenches, and coverage methodologies.
•Experience translating algorithms into efficient FPGA implementations optimized for performance, area, and power.
•Experience integrating FPGA designs into hardware/software systems, including bring-up and debugging, with software skills (C or Python) and Linux and/or Windows development experience.
