Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct proactive improvement of NDT and product quality processes to increase first-time-through performance using industry best practices.
  • •Establish CTQ measures (CTQ, KPC, KCC), control plans, and FMEA through project teams.
  • •Mentor NDT Level 1–3 personnel and lead complex NDT inspections, measurement, sampling methods, and method improvements (including MSA).
  • •Prevent recurrence by building a framework to gather and synthesize quality data, reducing claims, remakes, scrap, and deviations.
  • •Lead qualification and audits of nondestructive testing personnel/procedures and oversee NDT equipment preventative maintenance/calibration records.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • •ASNT Level 3 certification in ultrasonic inspection; must obtain Carpenter Level 3 certification within 6 months of hire.
  • •6+ years of experience as an NDT Level 3 in a Level 3 role.
  • •Expert understanding of industrial/manufacturing principles and nondestructive testing methods (ultrasonic, eddy current, visual, liquid penetrant, magnetic).
  • •Ability to manage projects or teams and coordinate resources outside your area, including cost/resource forecasting and planning.
