Key Responsibilities

  • •Support mechanical design and development for Eaton Medium Voltage LIPE products, including system/sub-system sizing, modeling, and simulation to meet customer requirements and IEEE standards.
  • •Prepare CAD models, 2D drawings, and BoM, and document/release via SAP and Enovia through the ECR process.
  • •Work with leads on design calculations, quick proto trials, prototype build/testing protocols, and document lessons learned.
  • •Research and implement best practices, new/emerging technologies, and design patterns while maintaining technical proficiency in development tools and processes.
  • •Plan and manage development work to deliver NPD/VAVE features, coordinate cross-functionally, mitigate technical risks, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • •0–3 years of experience, with at least 1+ years in medium voltage product development desired.
  • •Strong electromechanical engineering knowledge covering short circuit, temperature rise, impulse withstand, endurance, and switching/fault closure per IEEE/IEC standards.
  • •Hands-on prototype development experience and understanding of VAVE process.
  • •Proficiency in Inventor, Creo, 3D modeling, SAP, and Enovia, plus experience with product design, prototyping, testing, and engineering change order (ECO) process.
