Key Requirements

  • •Experience applying novel techniques in vector similarity for a search platform with a large user base, or academic progress in vector similarity information retrieval.
  • •Professional experience with search or vector databases, including using algorithms such as HNSW, IVF, or similar libraries at scale.
  • •Solid core Java skills, including data structures and concurrency constructs, and familiarity with features like lambdas.
  • •Ability to take ownership of projects end-to-end, covering technical design and collaboration with other engineers to build components.
  • •Experience working with multiple data storage technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra, and understanding how they work.
