Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling directly to adults, children, and youth of service members.
  • •Deliver CYB-focused support for CDCs, DoDEA/community schools, youth programs, and summer camps, including parent training and guidance.
  • •Conduct training and health and wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and base/installation activities.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily through a smartphone or web application while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity.
  • •Work with installation and military Points of Contact (POC) to ensure services are within scope, meet installation needs, and respond to emergent situations.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field or social work.
  • •Independent-level licensure required (Mental Health Counselor, Therapist, or Social Worker) meeting state/commonwealth/customer requirements.
  • •Ability to prove US citizenship and must be fluent in English.
  • •Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.
  • •For CYB positions: meet MFLC CYB criteria for experience with children and youth and child/adolescent development/psychology.
