Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide project technical support and responsible design for transmission overhead line projects up to 400kV.
  • •Deliver overhead line design on complex multi-discipline projects, including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structural analysis, and loading trees.
  • •Produce and check engineering deliverables such as designs, reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages, with internal quality checks.
  • •Support project implementation through statutory planning and participation in public consultation events.
  • •Conduct studies for feasible technical solutions, including conductor thermal ratings, and support writing proposals with timelines, resources, budgets, objectives, and goals.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline, preferably electrical engineering or power engineering.
  • •Professionally qualified CEng Chartered Engineer with a recognized electrical engineering institution (e.g., the IET).
  • •Experience delivering UK transmission projects for operators such as National Grid, SSE, or SPT in line with their standards.
  • •Project experience in overhead line engineering (ideally up to 400kV).
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
