Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate clear cross-functional regulatory responses with Policy and Government Affairs, Operations, Product, and Communications.
  • •Deliver comprehensive legal guidance on legislation affecting gig economy participants, marketplaces, retailers, and consumers.
  • •Develop and document legal frameworks and compliance best practices to meet legislative and regulatory mandates.
  • •Actively manage relationships with external counsel, trade associations, and industry partners.
  • •Build and share internal expertise in emerging areas of law relevant to Instacart’s business.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 185,000 - 195,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •JD degree (Juris Doctor).
  • •3+ years of experience practicing law.
  • •Synthesize and analyze legislative updates to provide precise legal advice.
  • •Experience working with legislative bodies, government agencies, or regulatory matters.
  • •Demonstrated success supporting compliance initiatives and executing legal frameworks.
