Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide pre-sales technical systems engineering support to enterprise and commercial customers, acting as a trusted advisor to gather requirements and identify opportunities.
  • •Partner with account managers to understand customer pain points and conduct whiteboard network architectural reviews.
  • •Present Arista solutions and architect data center and campus network designs using leaf-spine architectures with VxLAN/EVPN overlays.
  • •Perform hands-on tests for customer proof-of-concept setups and network deployments, and recommend improvements via design guidelines.
  • •Respond to RFP/RFQs, provide feedback to product management and engineering, and represent Arista at industry events while keeping up with competitive offerings.

Key Requirements

  • •BE/BS/CS/CE technical degree required.
  • •10+ years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience focused on data center and campus networks.
  • •Expert-level routing and switching knowledge, including L2/L3 protocols (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Aruba).
  • •Expert knowledge in three or more areas including Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP routing, TCP/IP, BGP/eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, multicast, spanning tree, QoS.
  • •Demonstrated experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer (pre-sales experience preferred).
