Job Summary

Lead chemical services and laboratory operations at the Pinjarra Refinery, accountable for routine and project chemical services and Bayer process expertise for Laboratory, Refinery, Mining & Marketing groups. Manage and develop the Laboratory team to deliver safe, efficient laboratory operations, ensure SGA product quality, and contribute technical input into month-end inventory processes. Drive analytical service improvements, cross-site method standardisation, investigations, and optimisation through statistical experimental design and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

•Accountable to the Technical Manager for routine and project chemical services and Bayer process expertise across Laboratory, Refinery, Mining & Marketing groups.
•Lead and develop the Laboratory team to safely and efficiently deliver all aspects of laboratory operations.
•Provide technical input to the Month End Inventory Process and ensure SGA product quality from Pinjarra Refinery.
•Improve analytical services and standardise methods across sites (WAO and Global).
•Conduct laboratory and refinery investigative and improvement projects, using statistical experimental design and evaluation.

•Ability to lead technical people on major plant projects while optimising day-to-day plant performance.
