Job Summary

Provide marketing legal advice to the Card Partnerships business by reviewing customer-facing marketing and servicing collateral for consumer and small business credit cards. Assess and mitigate legal risks for campaigns and account acquisition and servicing, leveraging expertise in consumer financial regulatory laws, advertising, privacy, UDAAP, and risk management. Collaborate with Card, Brand, Business Risk, Corporate Communications, and Compliance, and communicate complex legal risks clearly to non-legal partners.

Key Responsibilities

•Review and evaluate customer-facing marketing and servicing collateral for consumer and small business credit card programs.
•Identify and assess legal risks for marketing campaigns to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company standards.
•Partner with Card, Brand, Business Risk Office, Corporate Communications, and Compliance to develop creative, compliant solutions.
•Maintain regular strategic interactions with senior business partners and Legal subject matter experts.
•Serve as a legal support pillar in a cross-functional environment, providing actionable advice.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 164,800 - 188,100 annually

Key Requirements

•Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
•Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
•At least 3 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency.
•4+ years of experience involving consumer regulatory experience, credit card programs, or financial services.
•Strong working knowledge of Regulation Z, UDAAP, FCRA, and other consumer financial laws and privacy laws.
