Key Responsibilities

  • •Design portions of engineering solutions for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling.
  • •Develop and implement parameters and test plans for existing designs, including tolerances, form/fit/function, shock/vibration, EMI, safety, reliability, fan curves, system power measurements, and acoustics.
  • •Conduct feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses, and empirical testing on new or modified designs.
  • •Perform root cause analysis of defects and propose, evaluate, and implement solutions.
  • •Manage outsourced partner/supplier relationships and design engineering change notifications/approvals, qualification tests, and value engineering project proposals, schedules, tests, and communication.

Key Requirements

  • •Four-year or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or commensurate work experience.
  • •Typically 2-4 years of work experience in engineering design and solutions or implementation across the hardware development lifecycle.
  • •Experience applying engineering principles to design, analyze, build, and test mechanical components for electronic/mechanical assemblies.
  • •Knowledge of thermal and mechanical validation testing, including tolerances and performance validation.
  • •Ability to perform feasibility studies, design margin/validation analyses, and root-cause analysis with proposed solutions.
