Key Responsibilities

  • •Support maintenance and continuous improvement of Symetra’s AI Governance Framework, AI Policy, and governance documentation.
  • •Assist with AI intake coordination and AI risk assessments, including documenting use cases, ownership, risk ratings, approvals, and lifecycle status.
  • •Maintain a centralized inventory of AI use cases and monitor use cases to escalate issues or observations as needed.
  • •Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and materials for AI Governance Committee meetings, including tracking actions and decisions.
  • •Research emerging AI laws, regulations, and industry guidance, summarizing relevant developments and staying informed on responsible AI practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Maintain and support Symetra’s AI governance framework, policy, procedures, standards, and related documentation.
  • •1–3 years of relevant experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit, information security, data governance, business analysis, technology, data analytics, or a related discipline.
  • •Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to organize and interpret information from multiple sources.
  • •Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
