Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver new features and improve performance and scalability of Network Services products.
  • •Evolve Network Firewall and related security capabilities across north-south and east-west architectures.
  • •Build, deploy, and operate team systems on top of Cloudflare’s global edge network.
  • •Partner with engineers and product managers to solve problems with meaningful customer impact.
  • •Design and integrate backend systems and RESTful APIs to support security capabilities.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience building and shipping large-scale, reliable, highly distributed systems.
  • •Systems-level programming experience; Go and/or Rust experience is valuable.
  • •Expertise in L3/L4 networking protocols (L2 experience is valuable).
  • •Experience building high-performance network security products such as network firewalls, IDS/IPS, DDoS mitigation, rate limiting, packet capture, or threat intelligence integrations.
  • •Familiarity with Linux kernel networking primitives such as netfilter, nftables, eBPF, tc, and network namespaces.
