Job Summary

Join the Knowledge Management & Applied Research team as a legal subject-matter expert who helps turn courtroom and drafting judgment into AI-ready decision trees. You’ll rapidly master new practice areas, translate legal reasoning into product requirements for Product and Data Science teams, maintain knowledge bases and templates, lead model-evaluation QA, and support clients when needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Help build AI drafting systems by decomposing legal reasoning into explicit decision trees and refining them against real outputs.
•Develop rapid mastery in unfamiliar practice areas, including statutory/regulatory framework, procedural posture, controlling authority, evidentiary standards, and document conventions.
•Translate legal judgment into product requirements by partnering with Product, Data Science, and Machine Learning teams on specifications, taxonomies, and evaluation criteria.
•Maintain and expand the knowledge base and case-specific templates, including firm and state-level customization with clients.
•Lead QA and evaluation efforts through audits, benchmarking, and evaluation development to support model evaluation.

Salary: USD 178,464 - 267,696 annually

Key Requirements

•Active license to practice law and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
•5+ years of substantive legal experience with depth in personal injury litigation across multiple states, including statutory/common law frameworks and insurance bad faith claims.
•Demonstrated ability to develop mastery in more than one practice area quickly (weeks, not years).
•Exceptional legal drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail across complex written work (e.g., demands, medical summaries, discovery responses, legal memoranda).
•Ability to translate legal knowledge into unambiguous, actionable guidance for non-lawyers (engineers and data scientists).
