Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide proactive and strategic leadership for the civil engineering discipline to ensure deliverables are achieved within the business sector.
  • •Perform engineering review of permit applications, design plans/specifications, standby plans, contracts, integrated management plans, and periodic construction inspections to ensure regulatory and engineering compliance.
  • •Lead larger-scale, complex civil engineering projects, including setting contributor expectations, overseeing project budgets, tracking hours/expenses, and supervising subcontractors, contract work, and employees.
  • •Drive business pursuit and execution of infrastructure work in the assigned geography, including proposal and project scope/timeline/pricing/budgetary development.
  • •Serve as a technical lead representative/liaison to external entities, lead contract negotiation and presentations, and mentor staff while staying current on civil engineering techniques and practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline.
  • •12+ years of post-education experience in engineering, civil and infrastructure design.
  • •Professional Engineer license in New York required.
  • •Experience delivering projects for New York public agencies (e.g., MTA, NYSDOT, NYSTA, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, Port Authority of NY & NJ).
  • •Advanced proficiency with civil engineering principles and permitting/project work compliance; strong infrastructure design expertise.
