Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end EPC and BOP procurement in Japan, including civil works, electrical infrastructure, substations, grid connection works, and other BOP packages.
  • •Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned to delivery schedules and commercial targets.
  • •Manage tender processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP), including contractor engagement, bid evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
  • •Structure and negotiate EPC and multi-package contracts, including risk allocation, interface management, warranties, and performance guarantees.
  • •Interface with development, engineering, investment teams, and the Global BESS Package Manager to align procurement with project requirements and ensure Japanese regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in procurement and commercial/contract management within the Japanese energy or infrastructure sector.
  • •Proven experience procuring major packages such as EPC, Electrical BOP, Civil BOP, substations, transmission, distribution, grid connection, or similar infrastructure.
  • •Strong understanding of Japanese supplier markets, contracting practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • •Experience managing complex contractor negotiations and procurement processes for multi-package delivery models.
  • •Full professional fluency in Japanese and a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
