Job Summary

Join the Ecology team to analyze ecological and spatial datasets and apply geospatial analytics to environmental assessment and planning. You’ll build and run Python and GIS workflows, develop machine-learning and AI-enabled ecological models, create visualizations in Python/R, and integrate remote sensing (satellite, LiDAR, UAV/drone) with field data. Work is hybrid across Canadian offices, with opportunities to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and deliver technical reports.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze ecological and spatial datasets and interpret results to support projects across multiple sectors.
•Develop, manage, and execute Python and GIS workflows, including spatial modeling, geoprocessing, automation, and map production.
•Develop and apply machine learning, AI, and advanced analytical approaches for ecological modeling and biodiversity assessment.
•Create data visualizations using Python and/or R, and conduct exploratory and statistical analyses.
•Integrate remote sensing datasets (satellite imagery, LiDAR, UAV/drone imagery) with field-based ecological data and prepare technical reports.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 43.4 - 63.7 hourly

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Ecology, Data Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
•5–10 years of relevant experience in applied spatial ecology or environmental consulting.
•Strong proficiency in GIS platforms such as ArcGIS Pro or QGIS, including spatial analysis and geoprocessing.
•Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis, automation, and visualization.
•Experience preparing technical reports and communicating analytical results to diverse audiences.
