Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle safely and legally, transporting loads on required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Load/unload goods and materials using specialized equipment as warranted; assist with unloading empty skids and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and required paperwork; deliver documentation to shipping office or appropriate staff when deliveries are complete.
  • •Facilitate routine truck service (e.g., check oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor, plus arrange trailers for optimal loading patterns.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle and pass background and drug testing as required by federal/state DOT regulations.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs) and be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Must be able to remain focused in a busy environment and communicate professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
