Job Summary

Lead a platform engineering team responsible for Condé Nast’s content creation domain and in-house CMS, Copilot. Guide architecture and delivery of scalable backend services, APIs, and applications, while owning reliability, performance, and maintainability. Manage and coach 8–10 engineers, drive engineering processes, and partner with product/design stakeholders. Use AWS-based infrastructure (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker) and support thoughtful AI-enabled workflows across the full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

•Guide architecture, design, and development of scalable backend services, APIs, and applications powering Copilot and the content creation ecosystem.
•Participate in technical design and code reviews to maintain high standards for quality, reliability, and maintainability.
•Manage and support a team of 8+ engineers, including coaching on technical growth, system design, and career development.
•Help evolve infrastructure and platform capabilities using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
•Partner with product and design to translate requirements into robust systems and drive AI use responsibly for content creation workflows.

Key Requirements

•10+ years building and operating production software systems.
•2+ years of people management experience leading teams of at least 4 engineers.
•Strong backend experience designing and operating distributed systems.
•Solid understanding of cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments, particularly AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
•Experience designing and working with REST and GraphQL APIs, with strong database experience (e.g., MongoDB and Postgres).
