Key Responsibilities

•Manage and execute strategic priorities across patent families, including decisions on continuations, divisionals, and long-term family management.
•Oversee end-to-end patent prosecution by directing outside counsel and ensuring consistent quality across the portfolio.
•Serve as go-to counsel to a dedicated group of inventors from early idea harvesting through disclosure, filing, prosecution, and issuance.
•Design and assist with invention-harvesting and disclosure sessions, partnering with business teams to identify strategic value.
•Provide strategic IP counsel and grow into adjacent IP/tech matters such as AI governance, innovation initiatives, licensing, and technology contracts.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 149,515 - 175,900 annually

Key Requirements

•Licensed by and in good standing with the appropriate state bar association (or other state attorney licensing authority).
•Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO registration number required).
•8+ years of patent experience, including substantial patent prosecution and portfolio management with direct inventor interaction.
•Demonstrated experience managing a patent portfolio and patent families over their full lifecycle, including continuation strategy.
•Strong technical background understanding software/development and familiarity with digital banking, AI, blockchain, and modern technology infrastructure; ability to direct and manage outside counsel.
