Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive the EDU-to-EMD transition by overseeing the deployment and testing of EDU builds to readiness for field testing and demonstration of system capability and performance
  • •Lead the Design Verification Testing (DVT) campaign to environmentally test and qualify the system
  • •Prepare for major program milestones by authoring technical documentation, defining verification matrices, and leading systems-level preparation for upcoming CDRs and MRRs
  • •Scale production by collaborating with manufacturing and hardware teams to implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and increase production from a few units per year to tens of systems per month
  • •Architect, design, and ruggedize manufacturing test equipment to improve efficiency, throughput, and reliability on the production floor

Salary: USD 143,000 - 191,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •EO/Ladar domain expertise with 5+ years hardware-centric systems engineering experience (EO, Ladar/Lidar, or high-precision pointing)
  • •Development-to-production experience transitioning complex multidisciplinary systems from low TRL to production-ready status
  • •Strong familiarity with design verification testing (DVT), environmental qualification, field testing operations
  • •Practical knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM), test equipment ruggedization, and test process optimization/automation
  • •Experience leading or heavily contributing to systems engineering reviews such as CDR, MRR, or PRR
