Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead conceptual and technical design, development, and optimization of data architecture from business analysis and target-state design through implementation and data integration.
  • •Define the cloud data foundation in Azure Databricks, including source onboarding to the Bronze layer and transformation into the enterprise model in the Silver layer.
  • •Establish patterns for data modelling, storage, ETL/ELT, and API and MCP interface design, embedding access control, data-loss prevention, metadata, lineage, and data-quality requirements.
  • •Own architecture decisions, guide legacy decoupling and migration, and lead architecture workstreams and project teams.
  • •Maintain architecture documentation and support knowledge transfer into run operations while working with business, engineering, governance, and operations teams.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in computer science, business information systems engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable discipline.
  • •Several years of practical project experience designing and implementing enterprise data architectures, cloud data platforms, and storage technologies, including ETL and ELT.
  • •Experience delivering solutions across on-premises and cloud environments, preferably with Azure Databricks.
  • •Strong conceptual data-modelling and practical data-engineering skills, including enterprise data models, SQL, NoSQL, APIs, governance, master data, metadata, lineage, access controls, and data quality.
  • •Fluent English and collaborative stakeholder-management skills; German is advantageous and you can travel when required.
