Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage end-to-end delivery of work required for new security certifications, federal authorizations, and compliance initiatives expanding Databricks’ reach in regulated and government markets.
  • •Proactively identify and neutralize project blockers to reduce friction and maintain execution velocity in a cloud-native environment.
  • •Drive consensus and resolve technical and compliance trade-offs across Engineering, IT, Product, and Security teams with executive-level transparency through accurate status reporting.
  • •Oversee project lifecycles, including milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation, while refining delivery methodologies for rigor and agility.
  • •Build strategic partnerships with Security Assurance Team subject matter experts and technical stakeholders to align on security goals.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold an active Top Secret security clearance upon hire.
  • •Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area and work on-site in a local D.C.-area SCIF up to 5 days a week.
  • •7+ years of experience in security and technical program/project management (Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years with an advanced degree).
  • •Proven experience project managing security programs, including building and accrediting cloud platforms in Top Secret IC/classified regions (e.g., AWS C2S/SC2S/Top Secret, Azure Secret/Top Secret, or air-gapped high-side deployments).
  • •Experience leading high-stakes security compliance initiatives from inception to authorization (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD IL5/IL6, NIST 800-53, CMMC, PCI, HIPAA).
