Key Responsibilities

  • •Control and operate the asphalt paving machine and assist with alignment and movement using signals to other operators.
  • •Perform daily safety assignments including area inspections and pre-shifts.
  • •Measure distance from grade stakes and assist with staking and line setup for paving alignment.
  • •Assist in erecting, moving, and dismantling traffic control devices such as signs, barricades, cones, and related equipment.
  • •Shovel, rake, spread, level, lute, and pick earth, aggregates, and hot asphalt mix to fine grade specifications; load/unload equipment and maintain tools and work areas.

  • •Submit to a drug screen, DOT physical, and criminal background check.
