Job Summary

Lead architecture for Adobe’s Search, Discovery, and Content AI (SDC) capabilities across Creative & Productivity surfaces. Key Responsibilities

•Define technical direction for hybrid search and AI assistant features across Adobe C&P interfaces with varied data models and usage behaviors.
•Own architecture for indexing, query processing, ranking, and recommendations, including ML-based ranking and assistant workflows at massive scale.
•Set direction for platform evolution by benchmarking relevance, latency, and cost, and making build-vs-buy decisions including where generative AI replaces older methods.
•Routine use of AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code) and LLM-assisted workflows for development, testing, and documentation.
•Set and enforce engineering standards (build reviews, code quality, performance benchmarks) and mentor engineers on distributed systems, search, and AI-assisted development.

Key Requirements

•B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
•13+ years of industry experience owning architecture for large-scale, production distributed systems.
•Experience setting technical direction across product areas with different data structures and customer needs, partnering with Product and Applied Research/ML to productionize research.
•Hands-on expertise in Java and/or Python, stream processing (Kafka, Storm, Hadoop, Spark), and large-scale ingestion/indexing pipelines.
•Strong background in REST/web services architecture, AWS infrastructure, and substantial Elasticsearch/Solr experience (index build, sharding, cluster architecture, and search internals).
