Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct and ensure completion of food supplier audits against HACCP systems, identifying corrective actions and escalating major concerns as required.
  • •Support fulfillment of Authority objectives in line with the Branch work plan and provide effective food safety services.
  • •Provide technical information and advice on compliance issues and disseminate operational information and data as required.
  • •Conduct investigations and initiate appropriate enforcement actions timely to comply with Food Authority policies and procedures.
  • •Coordinate the ongoing development of the department’s food safety program, including carrying out internal audits and maintaining registers, records, and documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations, standards, and guidelines including HACCP, FSMA, and ISO 22000.
  • •Ability to conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses in food production and handling, identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures.
  • •Conduct food safety audits and inspections of food establishments, production facilities, and supply chains, identifying deficiencies and recommending corrective actions.
  • •ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills to be successful in the role.
  • •Minimum 5 years working experience, with 3 years relevant working experience; 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
