Job Summary

Build large-scale e-commerce recommendation algorithms and systems that improve user engagement and satisfaction across TikTok Shop, including commodity, live-stream, and short-video recommendations. Key Responsibilities

•Participate in building large-scale (10M to 100M) e-commerce recommendation algorithms and systems for commodity, live stream, and short video recommendations.
•Build long- and short-term user interest models and design algorithms to explore users’ latent interests using large amounts of data.
•Design, develop, evaluate, and iterate on predictive models for candidate generation and ranking, including CTR and conversion prediction.
•Design and build supporting/debugging tools, and support the production of scalable and optimized AI/ML models.
•Run experiments to test deployed model performance, identify issues, and resolve bugs as they arise, working with deployed software platforms.

Key Requirements

•Currently pursuing a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
•Strong programming and problem-solving ability.
•Experience in applied machine learning with algorithms such as collaborative filtering, matrix factorization, factorization machines, Word2vec, logistic regression, gradient boosting trees, deep neural networks, or Wide & Deep.
•Experience with deep learning tools such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
•Experience with at least one programming language such as C++ or Python.
