Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, test, and deploy real-time, map-based Android interfaces to display sensor data and control aerial/robotic aircraft via the ATAK plugin ecosystem.
  • •Define and implement APIs for network communications, telemetry, vehicle configuration, sensor/payload control, motion video streaming, manual controls, and autonomous tasking.
  • •Help define foundational software architectures and user experience/interaction workflows for multiple UAS with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • •Develop and integrate Android frontend and high-performance backend components using the listed technologies.
  • •Test and evaluate software using simulations, benchtop hardware, and live flight assets.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • •Experience developing user interface applications, especially high-traffic, data-intensive, or map-based systems.
  • •Proficiency with modern Android development (Jetpack Compose, XML, Java, Kotlin).
  • •Proficiency with backend/middleware languages such as C++, Rust, or Golang.
  • •Familiarity with client/server networking (e.g., TCP/UDP/Multicast, HTTP/REST, protobuf/gRPC).
