Job Summary

Lead continuous improvement efforts for Carvana’s Inspection Center Operations Development team, using lean methodologies to create and refine processes. Partner with inspection and reconditioning experts to set vehicle standards, roadmap team goals, and drive cost and quality improvements across departments. Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders on problem-solving initiatives, develop standard work and visual training, and ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the Inspection Center Operations Development team through continuous improvement projects using lean methodologies.
•Assess improvement opportunities, provide guidance to the team, and maintain a strategic roadmap for team goals and structure.
•Partner with inspection center experts to create and set vehicle standards and support the Reconditioning Training team with work process and standards content.
•Justify and drive major projects targeting cost savings greater than $1M, including reporting results to senior leadership and supporting cross-functional buy-in.
•Provide coaching and leadership to team members, develop standard work and visual training, support labor standards and staffing models, and ensure EHS compliance.

Key Requirements

•BS in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA preferred).
•Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
•At least 3 years managing cross-functional teams or projects, ideally with direct reports.
•Proven track record delivering projects that impact the bottom line and a strong understanding of lean manufacturing.
•General knowledge of OSHA guidelines and excellent communication skills across all organization levels.
