Job Summary

Seasoned civil/highways leader responsible for delivering infrastructure projects across multiple regional offices (Manchester, Newcastle, Chesterfield, St Albans) within a large highways team. Leads multi-disciplinary delivery, mentors engineers, coordinates cross-office collaboration, and ensures safety, quality, and sustainability while expanding client relationships and exploring opportunities in the UK and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote health and safety culture on projects and drive continuous improvement in safety practices.
•Act as Project Manager after accreditation on AECOM’s project management system, including monitoring financial performance.
•Ensure technical content and output quality align with project briefs and client deliverables.
•Support and monitor team skills, staying up to date with best practices, techniques, and innovations.
•Develop sound client relationships, identify commercial opportunities, and contribute to bids and business development.

Key Requirements

•Proven track record in the preliminary, detailed design, or construction phases of civil engineering, infrastructure, or transportation projects; able to transition from individual delivery to leading significant packages with a strong team.
•Demonstrable experience and understanding of high-quality technical delivery within an infrastructure or civil engineering sector.
•Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients, team members, and industry peers; demonstrated mentoring and development of a team.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartered status with membership of a professional institution (preferred).
