Job Summary

Carry out workshop-based fabrication, maintenance, and repair of metal structures and mining equipment components to keep plant operations running efficiently. Manufacture and repair site-used items, operate workshop tools and machinery, and read engineering drawings to build accurately and safely. Maintain quality workmanship, meet dimensional tolerances, complete job documentation, and strictly follow HSE policies while collaborating with maintenance teams to reduce downtime.

Job Function: Energy & Utilities Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Perform fabrication, cutting, bending, and welding of metal components in the workshop per engineering drawings and specifications.
•Manufacture and repair mine-site components such as chutes, hoppers, brackets, guards, pipes, and structural frames.
•Operate workshop tools and machinery including cutting torches, grinders, welding machines, guillotines, and hydraulic presses.
•Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to dimensional tolerances and material specifications.
•Complete job cards and fabrication/material usage records and follow HSE policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

•Craft or Advanced Certificate in Boilermaking or Metal Fabrication.
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in a workshop setting, preferably in mining or heavy industrial.
•Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding processes.
•Skilled in using fabrication tools and workshop equipment.
•Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings.
