Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical direction to deliver complex flood risk modelling projects with national project teams.
  • •Lead or verify hydraulic modelling projects for flood alleviation schemes and EA flood maps.
  • •Review or verify technical reports on model builds and associated uncertainties.
  • •Lead proposals for innovative one-off projects and large framework contracts.
  • •Mentor staff, build client relationships, share policy updates, and drive innovation (including AI) within the team.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of experience in hydraulic and modelling software (Flood Modeller, InfoWorks ICM and/or TUFLOW).
  • •Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • •Chartered member of ICE or CIWEM.
  • •Strong GIS skills using QGIS, ArcGIS and/or MapInfo.
  • •Experience with flood risk modelling and understanding Environment Agency requirements.
