Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
  • •Consult with physicians and healthcare personnel to determine patient or client nutritional needs and diet restrictions.
  • •Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
  • •Counsel individuals and groups on good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring; monitor food service operations for nutritional, safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • •Develop policies for food service or nutritional programs, inspect meals for diet conformance, and support curriculum/manuals and therapeutic modified menu planning.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma or bachelor degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, food service systems management, or a related area.
  • •Current licensure in country of origin and a DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
  • •Leadership experience in fine dining or catering services (hospital settings preferred).
  • •Food service handler certification and knowledge of health code standards; working knowledge of industry standards (key result indicators).
  • •Excellent oral and written English; computer literacy; leadership knowledge including initiative, team building, planning, customer service, and strong organizational skills.
