Job Summary

Serve as an adjunct clinical nursing faculty member for pre-licensure nursing students, reinforcing didactic content and teaching core knowledge and skills. Collaborate with content faculty to evaluate and document student progress, grade written work and clinical check-offs, and stay current with developments in mental health nursing. Ensure program accreditation compliance, uphold the university’s nursing principles, and travel within the Tucson area to observe student performance during clinical rotations.

Key Responsibilities

•Reinforce didactic content and teach the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing.

Key Requirements

•MSN or higher is required.
•2 years of recent clinical work experience in mental health nursing.
•Bachelor’s in nursing AND 3 years of recent direct patient care nursing experience in mental health nursing AND enrolled in a graduate program.
•Active, current, unencumbered, and unrestricted AZ or multi-state (compact) RN license.
•Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students.
